Katy Perry To ‘Engage All Your Senses’ On Tour Next Year

Katy Perry is still riding high off the successes of her first two Teenage Dream singles: the VMA-nominated “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream.” Now fans are hankering to know what she might release next from the album, but Perry is keeping that detail under wraps.

“The third single I can’t reveal yet, because I’m too happy about ‘Teenage Dream,’ ” she told MTV News on the VMA white carpet. “And I love secrets.”

But she did leave fans with a hint, describing the video for the next single as “touching.”

With an emotional track lined up, Perry also has some plans to tour sometime next year. “I hope that it’s going to engage all of your senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, touch,” she explained, adding that she had a warning for anyone who has been trying to take a bite out of her scented cotton-candy album cover. “It smells good, but you can’t eat the album. I’ve had people eating the album, and I can’t take responsibility for that.”

Perry also revealed how excited she’s been with the response to the album and its singles. “There’s not many more places to go than #1,” she said. “There’s number zero, but that could be a Catch-22.”

Perry seemed most excited for her next big goal, which she intended to address right after the VMAs: “[I need] some sleep, because I’m really sick,” she said. “Nursing that cold!”

Dear Diploma seekers around North America (Canada that includes you),

My Favorite Highway will be available this fall to perform at your college or university.

Now this doesn’t just mean sending us an e-mail that says “I go to ASU, come here”, .. you see at every school there is a student activities board or concert/events group that puts these kind of things together. You can normally get a hold of them by searching on your school’s website or asking around. Once you are able to reach them and convince them that My Favorite Highway is the band to have play at your school please give them our email and we’ll work on working out the details!

Please e-mail Mike at booking@myfavoritehighway.com with any ideas to bring the band to your school.

FanBlog: Sick Puppies will melt your face off in concert!

Submitted by Katy S:

It’s hard to pinpoint an exact favorite moment with the band, Sick Puppies. Every time I’ve had the opportunity to see them in concert has been memorable, and not to mention, unforgettable. They truly do take the time to make one feel important and that if it weren’t for all their fans in general, they wouldn’t be where they are now. It is one of the many reasons this band gets all of my support that I can dish out as well as the reason I do as much promoting for them that one person is capable of.

With that being said, my most recent “fave moment” would have to be this past July when I seen them live in concert with the band Hurt. They happened to be the headliners this particular night – meaning they were the last band to hit the stage for the evening – and it was only about two weeks after the debut of their latest album, “Tri-Polar”. I was happily singing along to their new music, elated to be rocking out to the new stuff and during one of the songs, Shim took note that I was familiar with the material. He pointed me out in the crowd as he gave me a quick wink and smiled brightly before throwing out the “\m/” sign. It was something little that he didn’t have to do but it sure made me feel special among everyone else standing there. It was almost as if he was proud to see someone singing along to the new tune – just as proud as I was to be there, representing them as an Ambassador from their Official World Crew.

Sounds like a great experience Katy! These three will definitely melt your face off. Here’s a fan submitted picture .. looks like a great time!
