What an amazing Grammy weekend! Our LA team had a blast at the EMI Grammy party here at the Capitol Records tower. There is so much history in this building, so many great artists who have signed and recorded here; it’s inspiring! Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, so I decided to put together a playlist featuring a few of my favorite love songs from EMI artists past and present. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Have you met The Good Natured yet? I just did! Sarah, George, and Hamish stopped by for a visit while they finished their US tour at Los Angeles’ The Echo and Bardot last weekend. They had me dancing all night long with such electric energy - even going off the stage and dancing in the crowd while singing. Such an amazing night of fun and display of talent. Luckily, the rain stopped just in time to allow us to crash the Capitol Records rooftop for some fresh air and a quick pic! They’re back in the UK now but thankfully we’ve got their Skeleton EP to crank all night.

JUST GIVE US THAT BASS!
Our first monthly Capitol Street Team Music Mixer was a blast! Last Friday we invited our LA team and West Coasters to come party at Capitol Records with us. Thank you to Julia, Debora, Michael, Max, Alma, Victor, Alyssa, and Blair and Keon B of speakers for coming out!
Our team got to meet speakers, us, enjoy some free pizza, and do what we all love, talk music. We had the chance to watch an advanced screening of the actual, finished speakers’ Bass music video (It’s coming any day now! For now, check out the behind the scenes right HERE). The guys were even kind enough to play us never-heard-before music from their upcoming album! Then, in honor of Steve Jobs, we took to the photobooth app on Cheli’s iPhone and the guys let us in on their secret of how to be a “Winslow” aka their fam of supporters… pop yo lenses out those shades! haha

NOTHING BUT THE BEAT! To celebrate David Guetta’s newest release, EMI threw a special screening of his new inspiring documentary at Hollywood’s famous Egyptian Theater last night. Guetta himself showed up to speak along with will.I.am, Flo Rida, and more.
Naturally, we couldn’t resist raiding the photobooth to make our own Guetta album covers. So sweet! David was also very happy to see the entire Capitol Tower lit up RED in his honor. Definitely pick up a copy of the new record if you haven’t yet or at least stream it on spotify ;)
